Who we are

INGO Third Sector Resource, was established in 2002, to bolster the third sector in Africa, leveraging on networks and partnerships, to foster collaboration with global entities, to enhance Africa’s development. The organization seeks to lend support to government and institutional programs, targeting various sectors of the population in need of lifting up, while improving Africa's overall economic well-being. Designed to work through dialogues, advocacy, capacity building and mutual cooperation, INGO is dedicated to building a vibrant civil society and public private partnership (PPP) framework that will help Africa achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on poverty reduction, health, education, gender equality, innovation, climate action, and peace advocacy. Among its core focus is also the deepening of democratic governance, promotion of human rights, advocacy for peace and reduction of poverty in Africa.

Mission

INGO Third Sector Resource aims to cultivate a vibrant civil society in Africa especially, to promote democratic governance, human rights, peace advocacy, poverty reduction and sustainable human development. Through advocacy, dialogue, quality manpower supply and promotion of critical collaborations, we aim to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Initiatives

1. African Ambassadors Interactive Forum (INGO-AAIF): This programme was launched in 2004. It serves as a vital platform to boost Africa's economic well-being, leveraging on appropriately positioned-African embassies, serving as trade gateways and showcasing Africa's potentials.It also aims to rebrand the continent as the next economic frontier.

2. Debt Relief Advocacy: Recognizing the burden of Africa’s debt on development, INGO led advocacy campaigns within and outside Africa for debt amnesty. This effort culminated in successful signature collection at the ECOWAS heads of state summit in Accra in 2005.
